We came home from holiday to find some fresh vegetables in the fridge waiting for is and so we had mezze. Years ago we had a favourite mezze restaurant but we've rather fallen out the habit so it was time to make our own. There is something very appealing about the Mediterranean way of eating on warm summer evenings. We're lucky enough to have a cool garden to enjoy that alfresco lifestyle too. The menu was all vegetarian (almost vegan) and included a whole roasted cauliflower with spicy dip, a refreshing summer salad of tomatoes, peppers, flatbread and hummus (of course) and a roasted aubergine dish.
